It’s here, after 3 years of study, failure, engineering and design. Origin is official on the wrist. I am one man, working out of the basement workshop of my townhouse. I could easily hype up some self made story but the reality is no one goes it alone.

So on this day before launch I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped me along the way. Those who without none of this would have been possible.

cleguer horology who at the beginning of the journey when I knew nothing was open to a complete novice and helped guide me into the translation of Traité de Construction Horlogère setting my horological foundation.

jmelam watchmaking peterelliotglomb clementdesignstudios apiaruk for providing their knowledge and expertise when I ran into design, build and engineering issues.

spinogy for their incredible and robust spindles. Without absolutely none of the machining would be possible. They ran like a champ through each crash and failure as I learned how to machine.

Finally scratchbuilt designs who when I thought it was over. Was able to help me design, build and assemble a custom CNC in a matter of months that has through it all proven to be extremely capable allowing me to machine stainless steel in a home workshop. Incredible.

This is an inflection point on the journey. One which I will look back on fondly. In the coming years with the support you all and those who I have yet to meet. The designs, watches and projects that will come out of AW Labs will inspire, motivate and most importantly spread the knowledge of what is possible if you are willing to move past the failures and continue working towards your goals.

[AW Labs] The day has finally come
