how do i make the base space bigger?

i reached level10 base and am about to make my second base, but first i wanted to do two things to the old one, to relocate structures, i tried to see if there is an option for that, and even destroying them, but they don't get destroyed, second the space is not biig enough, i need to make it bigger, for the breeding structure but there is no place for it, do i just do it in the second base
