Unlist or keep shorts on a mainly long form channel?

Micro-channel here, slow knitting niche.

I’m just past 300 subscribers, and most of them come from a short that had moderate success several months later, and doesn’t look like it’s slowing down.

I’m mainly interested in long form content, and wonder if I should unlist my shorts. Yes, I gain subscribers from them, but they don’t convert to long form views, and my public watch hours are miles away, so what’s the best strategy here?

One of my goals is to become monetised, but even if I were to get to 1000 subscribers, my watch time is going to take longer.

Should I ride this shorts wave until I get to 1000 subscribers, and then unlist to focus the algorithm on my long form content, or unlist now, or not unlist at all?
