The first obvious task was to get her hair into a shape I like. That lob wasn't working for me, so I snipped and clipped until I was happy with it. And I'm very happy with it! Now, on to restyling!

I set rules for myself when styling a group—guidelines that help me keep everything cohesive. More than that, I set limitations and constraints because they force me to get creative. Orson Wells famously said "The enemy of art is the absence of limitations" and I firmly believe setting boundaries makes me better.

The rules this time were simple: I had to use at least one piece, top or bottom, from the kits combined with pieces from my existing wardrobe. Of course, I could only use neutrals. Oh, and no repeating pieces. Sounds easy enough.

This was the last doll to be dressed for this group, and by this point, I had used up all my favorite pieces from the kits. I was left with these pants and two tops. I absolutely didn't want to use the pants, so I kept trying to force different looks using the remaining tops, but nothing worked.

Okay, maybe I \*have\* to try the pants. A couple of quick changes, and this outfit came together pretty fast. It's kind of annoying when that happens.

I'm really happy with this look. It's one of those "I wouldn't have picked this, but I love it" situations. She looks like a very wealthy woman at a ski resort, though obviously, she doesn't ski.

Also, this was originally going to be Lara's outfit, but I swapped them at the last minute (thanks to fast head swapping!). I think it works better on Miss Mermaid. Maybe I'll post pictures with both options later so you can see if I made the right choice.
