How to fix a scratch on Italian leather couch?

My cat scratched my mother’s Italian leather couch when he was climbing to the top part. I’m just wondering what the best product might be that I could use to touch it up? It’s pretty small and although some of the top layer has been ripped, it’s still hanging there. Any useful product recommendations would be great!
