Piercing Stuck In A Weird Way

Hi! I read the rules but I always have an anxiety with posting on reddit and thinking I’m breaking them…. Sorry if this is the wrong flair!

Anyways, my belly button jewelry is stuck in a really weird way. The ball at the top twists both ways, but once I get it to the part of the bar itself that is meant to unscrew, it just clicks and won’t actually unscrew. I’ve tried to pull it off, but I’ve only succeeded in irritating the hole itself. Does anyone know how I’d be able to get this jewelry out? It’s externally threaded. Any advice would be useful, thank you!

(Also, yes, I’m unscrewing it the correct way!)
