My Personal Record Shopping Challenge
Because it's easy to go out and spend $100+ on three (or even two) records nowadays, most of the time when I go out record shopping, I shop with these constraints:
$15 or $20 cap on price. (I'm Canadian, so CAD.) I can only buy things I've never heard of, based entirely on whether or not the cover strikes me. No listening on Spotify or YouTube. No checking Discogs or any other sites. Just go on gut feeling.
I've found so many of what have become my favourite records this way, and it's brought me back to what I loved about record collecting, pre-internet.
