I am glued to my 5 month old

🤝 Support needed

I am torn because I really miss spending time with my husband alone. I feel like it is all my fault because I never let my LO cry for longer than a minute or so. Since she was born I have always been her pacifier and I feel like I failed our family because now she needs me to get to sleep, soothe, and comfort her. Which I know is normal for 5 months but it’s so hard not having time to myself at night. We bedshare and I would love to stop solely for the reason of feeling like something other than a Mom for even just an hour at night.

I just feel like I messed up and was lazy by always comforting her when she cried instead of trying other things. Don’t get me wrong Dad can step in and at least occupy her for a while so I can shower but he cant get her to sleep. She will at least take a bottle but with wake windows still only 2-2.5 hours long we haven’t really gotten a night to ourselves.

I’m just not sure what I need to do? Accept that this is part of motherhood? Sleep train (we really don’t want to)? Wait it out? Is there a solution I am thinking of?
