I think I've come up with a brilliant idea that will add a lot of uniqueness to the synergy process, plus solve the problem with updating the police.

I already wrote a post about how the police 5/5 were down to 2/2 after the update, and I explained why:
[https://www.reddit.com/r/DeadAhead/comments/1r91140/police\_55\_now\_22\_a\_rework\_is\_already\_needed/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button](https://www.reddit.com/r/DeadAhead/comments/1r91140/police_55_now_22_a_rework_is_already_needed/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

The police were already very random at 5/5. Now they've become even weaker, and I've been exploring various rework options. I've been thinking about how to make the team stable and controllable.

And here it is. I mocked up my idea: a 5/5 police unit could grant an activated ability:

\-Symbolic cost of 5 rage
\-Cooldown from the start is 20-25 seconds, and then the same throughout the battle, after each use.
\-You can also manually apply rage to all cops, for the same 10 seconds the developers intended. You can even make it last 7.5 seconds, with a 20-second cooldown.

I wanted to make it mandatory for one police officer to die, but that ruins the whole concept, since it happens that you go through 3-4 levels in a row without ever using this ability, since police officers don't die, and other units make the game.

Also, in one of the ideas, I came up with the idea that the death of a policeman would buff one policeman (or two, with a chance of 10, 15 or 25%), but forever --->

\---> And in addition to rage, this random unit would be given damage resistance (like not feeling pain while enraged), which would reduce all damage by 20-25% after subtracting all resistances.

For example, Dias has 50% melee resistance, and 25% will reduce the 50% melee damage already received, that is, 12.5% in his case.

If the developers thought it was too unbalanced to buff the entire police team forever, but 10 seconds turned out to be pointless, then why not buff 1-2 forever?

But that was an idea before I came up with the activated police.
