pitch roller parallel to the capstan

Hi, I recently replaced the pitch roller on my JVC RC545. When I replaced it, I noticed that the pitch roller isn't perfectly parallel to the shaft. This is because I slightly deformed the piece that holds the pitch roller while trying to remove the old one. My concern is whether the pitch roller putting more pressure on one part of the shaft could cause the tape to deform or be ruined in that area. When I say it's not perfectly parallel, I mean that the pitch roller touches the outermost part of the shaft first, not the center or the entire shaft. The lack of parallelism is quite slight, but it worries me, and I wanted to know what you think. I hope that's clear, and thanks for reading.
