Do you just not involve them in necessary daily tasks?

Question

My dx and medicated husband and I have 2 dogs and a baby. I have been unable to take care of the dogs and the baby completely alone (maybe I could if I were allowed to live in civilization / somewhere not rural but that's another topic)

After severe burnout on my part I have been identifying ways he can help and generally having him do mornings- take the baby first thing has worked - I prepare all her food and supplies the night before, all he has to do is feed her breakfast, change her diaper and drive her to daycare. This works well as he's the morning person and I'm the night person, frequently clean and prepping for the next day until midnight and generally need to sleep later than the baby sleeps, especially when baby wakes me up at night (husband just lays down around 8-9pm and whatever isn't done, he doesn't care. He gets a ton of sleep every night)

We have a fenced in area that he also puts the dogs outside in the morning

He has just, not been doing things recently, and not giving me the opportunity to do them by just not saying anything until way later. Like one day I found only one dog outside in the morning, figured he had brought one back in since that one hates being left out. but then realized an hour later that the other dog had not been out at all when he was whining. I asked husband, but of course, no answer by phone for over an hour.

Today he left for daycare with baby, but then texts me 40 minutes later saying that he had to meet up with someone on the way and he didn't take her to daycare yet but was going to now. He knew I was just sitting at home 5 minutes away and could have taken her.

For both instances I said to communicate with me because I can't know to do something unless I know you didn't do it. And it isn't ok to just have our child sitting for a long time while he does whatever. That made it over an hour between when he left our house and they arrive at daycare.

He thinks we need another new system to communicate (not calling or texting) as if that will magically make him able to communicate.

Have you all found a way to rely on your ADHD partner to do a daily task reliably? Or do I just need to be the one to take care of the dependents if they are to get reliable care?
