Trying to play NBA jam on fire edition with a friend remotely - help please

Hello, apologies if I’m in the wrong place. An old friend of mine recently moved away. For many years we would get together and play nba jam on fire edition for xbox360- but on a one or newer system. We accessed it through download. Within the last year or two the server to play online went down. Is there a way I can still play my friend remotely? Ideally would like to stay on an Xbox one or newer system and not use a computer, but open if that’s my only option. Would so greatly appreciate some ideas or a direction . Thanks all ❤️
