Got back into the game and I’m curious how long it takes to reach emerald?

Never gotten Emerald before and I found out that the Developers recently changed the system to be more streamlined and coherent. I’m interested in trying to reach emerald but I’m joining late into the season and unfortunately don’t have as much time to play as I’d like.

Is there a rough estimate as to how long or how many matches it takes to reach emerald? Do I have enough time?
