Ranking the bots!

Just for fun here are my thoughts on their usefulness:

1. Bulwark. The tankiest of the bots as he’ll block ranged fire by just running around like a lost puppy (and the bots do love doing that a lot) meaning he’ll stick around to irritate the enemy for a long time. His banner is also a solid ability for the armour restoration even if he’s not the brightest in terms of when to use it. Occasionally he will come in clutch and with it at a pivotal moment.

2. Tactical. Occasionally his Auspex Scan ability will hit an Extremis or Terminus which does help a lot and if you end up lucky and he’s equipped with a Plasma Rifle he can stagger enemies for your with the odd charge shot here and there.

3. Heavy. You can hide behind him for cover and return fire safely when he activates his Iron Halo. Which is pretty decent admittedly. Same thing as with Tactical if he ends up spawning in with his better weapons he can provide stagger, too.

4. Assault. He’s okay. Value lies solely in his ability to be in the face of the enemy and annoy them. That’s it. The Bulwark from Temu.

5. Sniper. Double-edged sword. If he spawns with either sniper rifle he can actually do some serious damage. Which means he can set up Executions for you with his bot auto-aim… but also means he’ll killsteal from you. If the AI was better at using his Cloak to revive you he’d probably be second best under Bulwark.

6. Vanguard. Sorry Decimus but you suck. He only exists to Grapple in at the worst opportunity and killsteal from you… and he does it often. I’m guessing the AI knows exactly what when a Grapple will lead to an Execute and aims to prioritize using it then. I guess if you wanted to simulate the experience of playing with the worst human Vanguard players without the benefit of them at least also providing Unmatched Zeal, he’s your guy!
