Homeless in 10 days. What should I do?

I’m a female in my late 20s from NYC area. I currently live in Newark, NJ. My lease is over at the end of this month. My mom convinced me to move back in home so I agreed to it.

Unfortunately, the heater broke down, sink and tub got clogged. There are already 6 people in the house. They also have an untrained dog but that’s the least of my worries at the moment.

The landlord is my mom’s friend. They called out how expensive the repairs were and need time to gather an estimate within their budget. It’s been 3 weeks and no repairs have been made. Just random contractors coming in to write up estimates.

My family dynamic is toxic. My dad is a huge narcissist. He only cares about himself and no one else. I’ve struggled my whole life with housing and never had stability growing up.

Suddenly, my mom was telling me she wants us all to move back to her country. Mind you, 3 of my siblings have never been to her county. Can’t speak the language and are still in college. This is because my dad plans on leaving us to go back to his home country. So, she wants us to follow his lead with no plan in advance.

This family dynamic is why I left in the first place. Meanwhile, I’m responsible for my younger siblings.

So, idk what to do about my housing situation.

Should I

A. temporarily move back in with no functional bathroom or heat?

OR

B. Scramble to find a random roommate online. And if so how should u safely go about it?
