[M4f] The New Natural Order (Dystopia, Worldbuilding)

It was a slow and insidious process that mostly took place in the background over the course of decades. By the year 2104, the entire world had been reshaped from a human perspective. As climate change began to take effect and billions were wiped out in a few decades, the institutions of old were nothing like they were before. Massive population movements. Decreased fertility and food production. The remaining governments and elite members of what used to be society had to take action.

Now, in the American Collective that spanned over the entirety of the eponymous continents, a new natural order had been established. Given the harsh rigors of the world, everyone had an assigned position in life. Class movement was now all but unheard of. Only the strongest, most virile of men were selected for breeding, given preferential treatment and a life of luxury.

I was not expected to be one of the most promising of these men. But when I was given my final mandated evaluation, I was selected to be a Breeder, greatly exceeding the retirements of the program. Upon being established in my new position, it was immediately difficult to deny the luxuries that we made immediately apparent by my lodgings as well as other benefits.
