Pain relief shouldn’t feel medicinal

Why does everything have to smell intense or burn your skin or come in packaging that looks like it belongs in a hospital? I get that pain isn’t glamorous but if I’m using something regularly I don’t want it to feel like a whole clinical event every time. I’ve always used ketro skin for pain relief because it actually feels normal to put on. No crazy smell no aggressive icy hot thing just rub it in and move on. Same with a good magnesium cream at night. If it feels like skincare instead of medicine I’m way more consistent with it.
