Guide on downloading the highest quality anime

No, I’m not talking about those streaming sites with terrible bitrates and heavily compressed video. If you want actual high-quality anime files, this is the method most people who care about quality use.

What you need

•	A PC (it might be possible on mobile, but it’s much more complicated)

•	A good VPN that supports P2P so your ISP doesn’t send you warnings. I personally recommend NordVPN or Mullvad.

•	qBittorrent

Step 1: Install qBittorrent

Download and install qBittorrent on your PC.

Step 2: Go to Nyaa

Search for the anime you want to download.

Step 3: Click the magnet link

Find the version you want and click the magnet button. It will open in qBittorrent and start downloading.

That’s basically it.

The files you download will usually be in .mkv format, and each episode can be anywhere from 400 MB to 2 GB depending on the encode and source. The reason they’re larger is because the bitrate is much higher than what you get on streaming sites, so the video and audio quality are noticeably better.

I mainly use this to host my own server, but you can do whatever you want with the files. Once you get used to higher bitrate releases, it’s hard to go back to normal streaming sites.
