Just placing the playhead

Dear all

All I want to do is place the playhead by clicking into the scrub-aerea, without playing directly. I deactivated the scrub-aerea in the main settings, but now the only thing that appears when I hover over the scrub-aerea is the magnifying glass.
Closest I could get: "control ^" + click places the playhead, but opens the context-menu at the same time.

Anyone? This MUST be possible somehow...?
