Am I the only one that played with mods to make progress a bit easier?

I noticed that most satisfactory players are like progressing really slow and mind you I am too. But the power situation everyone's having about power generators I used to do and then I found this r&D power division thing where it has windmills. So it has more power in some sense or at least modified power and, it makes my production able to do more early on. Like, I love doing over production so that way I have materials for later. But sometimes I wonder if like I'm cheating the game too much out of the experience because I remember first joining. It was lovely without mods and it's still lovely but sometimes I wonder if I do too much. I think it makes it a little bit more alive but still I wonder if I should turn them off and and start a new factory without them.
