Converting Loft to Bedroom with Angled Door?

I have an open loft space with a railing, window, and closet that I am thinking of converting into a bedroom. Would it look okay with an angled wall/door frame leading to the hallway? Also, our county record card lists the house as a four-bedroom, even though as it is currently (with the loft) there are only three bedrooms. Is there anything else I need to be aware of with a loft to bedroom conversion like this?
