Substrate and Decoration Questions

This might be a silly question, but when do you usually switch the substrate from tissue paper to soil?

My gecko is still a juvenile, and I’ve seen mixed opinions on this. Some people recommend sticking with tissue while others say soil is fine. I just want to be sure before making the switch because I’m worried about the possibility of her eating the soil lol

Also, if you’re using tissue paper as a substrate for your juveniles, would you mind sharing your tank setup for inspiration? I’d love to decorate her tank some more but I’m a bit stuck. 🙃
