Man I'm so tired by constant feminization of men in BL
Like I said, I'm so tired and pissed at the constant feminization of men in BL, especially Indian BL.
I don't think I've ever come across a BL where a guy( bottom) doesn't get feminized or get treated as a gender replacement fantasy, doesn't get preggers, actually has a voice of his own.
It's like the moment they see a bottom—people imagine a shy, small, pitiful, trembling, " innocent" , naive, blushy, overly soft bean aka basically what happens to women in BxG romance. Like bro?? Tf?? By this however I don't mean that them liking makeup or style is that,NOT AT ALL, that's infact pretty cool and awesome.
What I mean is —Why is it treated as husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend?? And not husband and husband, boyfriend and boyfriend?? Sorry but if you write a story about two men falling in in love just to treat one as a substitute of a Woman and mostly focus on smut ( many times grape) — imma say you're a fetishizer,IDC who it hurts.
Even shyness or naivety isn't bad but the way it gets so romanticized especially with the " smoll, fragile bean🥺🥺🥺" Yup it's definitely straight romance just a little bend. Like someone being afraid, worried or unaware ( almost like a child) screams hot to you?? (hate this there too in bxg)
Second thing is everything feels unrealistic, a guy is suddenly getting substituted as a "bride" For his sister? Like hello?? Are we fr?? The Dulha never said he's bi, the "bride" Never said he's gay or bi,knowing Indian society no one is directly forcing a man to marry a man especially not when they're not even into each other.
I dislike this even in BXG romance.
A guy getting treated as if he were a girl— in a BL feels really odd to me. It kinda screams nternalized homophobia too. Because these stories make it seem love can't survive between two men unless one of them is the "woman" Of relationship.
I knew M-preg is a kink too, I don't like it but won't hate specifically but just fkin add the tags?? Why do you assume every BL reader wants to see a man going through the same things as a woman +dihh??
Look I'm not mostly into the everything is sunshine and so easily acceptable trope but I respect it because gay characters can have a happy romance for sure but I don't like how it's done sometimes as if the fact it's a guy x guy does not exist anymore!!
I want to see two boys in love, going through different feelings— anxiety, fear, happiness, confusion, shyness( not the small bean fantasy) , giddiness. Them dealing with it and then some potrayal of how it's like to be in a queer relationship in an Indian society and how these characters respond. The denial, the acceptance, I want it all plus points if the ML and MC are actually in a turmoil over being gay for the other person because they never felt like this before.
I don't wanna read Husband x wife with a dihh fantasy.
If you get what I mean, please feel free to recommended me such BL's which has the tension, the real world dynamics with emotional intensity not just physical, the beautiful portrayal of different emotions not just red alpha and someone being horny and disgusting.
