it’s survivable
no censorship. i hadn’t thrown up in probably over a decade, countless nights of lost sleep feeling nauseous, panic attacks the whole nine yards. i didn’t know zinc specifically could cause irritation much less a whole episode of vomiting and diarrhea but i found out the hard way. one minute i was driving to work the next i was throwing up what looked like blood into a paper bag on the side of the road, the next i was *literally* shitting my pants and the next i passed out in the lobby of urgent care. long story short it sucked. i hated it. but i survived and it didn’t make my fear go away but it didn’t make it worse. i wouldn’t say to take my experience as what will happen to anyone else seeing as im also already pretty underweight and my body just couldn’t handle violently expelling everything out of me within a 15 minute span. it happened the first time and i knew it was gonna happen very quickly again after because i didn’t get that relief everyone talks about after it happens but hey. if anything take this as something to soothe an anxiety you might have about not knowing what to do if it does happen. i genuinely thought i wouldn’t know how to handle it but your brain says ok its happening and you just grab the nearest vessel and let it happen and honestly i wasnt even reall freaking out much when it was happening i wasnt more so thinking wow this really does suck. i just wanted to write this to maybe help some people and say the worst of the worst can happen but here i am the next day munching on some teddy grahams continuing my life. don’t take zinc on an empty stomach and you can get through it is i guess the morals of the story here.
