Why don't they go back to a battlefield premium dlc model?

The consensus surrounding BF6 is that the drip feeding of new maps and weapons is horrible, and it got me thinking about how I would have no problem spending 15 bucks for a bunch of new maps and weapons every few months. The freemium battlepass model is horrible and I have no idea why every game insists on using it.

I would have bought the "Battlefield premium" version of this game at launch if it were an option. I would buy a battlefield premium type of expansion if they launched it now. I think many other would do the same.

From a business perspective, wouldn't returning to paid DLC creat incentive for the devs to keep expanding the game? I don't know why people even buy the battlepass in the first place, seems like a waste of money to me.
