FERAL 2 yr old at Gymnastics

So my son is 2y 3m, and is headstrong but fairly calm temperament at home. Very curious and loves exploring. But now our second try at gymnastics and he goes feral lol Runs around wanting to explore, listens for a few mins but then just loses his patience and hes off.

He definitely needs the outlet and structure, but I feel alone and isolated in the struggle. The other kids seem (mostly girls) seem to just listen better and be more composed. I dont feel its fair to expect him to act like the older kids, but its hard to watch him struggle. Hes in an age/time appropriate group.

Can anyone else relate?
