Briv jumping acting very strange

I have Briv at 4 jumps and i use the Feat that caps it at 4 jumps. Normally he jumps areas like 1 > 6 > 11 > 16 and so forth, so he skips the bosses.

Lately he is instead going like this 1 > 5 > 6 > 10 > 11 > 15. Like he jumps 3 areas then travels normal for 1 area then jumps 3 again. Its making me fight all the bosses which is slowing me down.

Anyone else seen this before? I play on iOS if that helps.
