Can someone please help with AutoPatch

Very frustrating, I'm redone my AutoPatch settings over 6x. Issue is devices not going into correct group. I creater autopach rings. I assigned created groups to the ring but no matter what the ring group itself shows 0 devices. I got so fed up with Microsoft I manually started adding the groups the rings "Feaure Policy" and "update rings" but then get an error that autopach no longer working. It's frustrating when even though theirs guides it seems theirs still something missing. Oh Microsoft oh how I truly hate you. Anyways. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
