Gearing up for larger base build

As the title suggests, I am gearing up for a larger base build. I'm looking to draw some inspiration from other players. I can't decide if I want the main building to be a T shape or a U shape. Also odd or even main foundation widths etc. I usually use odd, because my OCD doesn't like when my fireplace is not centered on a wall section, and I find the ceiling heights don't get to crazy. After the main structure is complete next will be decorations. What rooms do most players make? Separate kitchen, bedroom, living room etc. Or more open concept with everything. Do you guys have a secondary fireplace for your bedroom? Workshop in the same building as the house or separate? I plan on having a separate barn for my mounts and a super green house for crops.
