Comp Sci teacher advice

Is the project originally marked by the comp sci teacher and then reviewed by an examiner or how does it work. Ive been getting alot of help from a family member with the code and can the teacher just blacklist that bad boy or how does it work what guidelines need to be met, if i used ai once i can explain whats goin on is it fine?
