Brazilian with J1 Visa crossing to Canada by land

Hi, by default I can get an eTA and flight to Canada (have done it before). However, eTA should not work for land.

Anyone has crossed to Canada by land having only a US J1 Visa & DS-2019_similars?

Looking for experience - as the website says no.
