Help me with cattle -biowaste - fertiliser calculations please

So I started my republic on realistic and everythimg in the 1920s. I havent really played around with farming yet so I thought this time I will go for an agriculture based start and probably not rightaway but I want to produce my own crop.

In this excellent comment I got the formula to calculate how much crop I actually need.

Which is a loooot. I am not near my computer thats partially why I daydream about this but I managed to find the modern versions of the buildings atleast. Which are 2 food factories 2 distilleries and 1 fabric factory. The consume 42, 30 and 20 tonnes of crop per day. Ofc they wont produce at 100% more like around 70 but I go for the worst case scenario.

So my daily consumption will be 42x2 + 30x2 + 20 = 164t

Which is 164x365 = 59860 a year

To produce this much at 150% fertility (so solid fertilizer only, 62t/ha at 100%, 4,81ha is a large field) I would need 59860/1,5/62/4,81 ≈ 134 large fields. I have to do some experimenting on how many farms I will need to handle that. But thats beside the point. ( I am lening toward 1 medium farm per 6 large field because early tractors and whatnot suck so much)

Yeaah so thats a lot. Like a lot lot but atleast it will look neat. But here comes my proble,. I never tried making my own fertilizer but I dont know how much I need and how muxh I can produce.

Every animal farm consumes 20t of crop a day which is 16 extra fields a day which also consume fertiliser.

Do any of you know how many large fields can be supplied with fertiliser with 1 animal farm? If I put cattles in an animal hall will they also produce biowaste and just live forever there?

I cant sort waste yet so I dont know if thats a problem or not.

My original idea was to use a composting plant but is it possible to just have an open dump field next to each farm to where I bring biowaste and I let it compost there naturally? Is that fast enough? Can the farm sort it out?

Man I have so many questions.

I want to make my own meat too but I guess just covering the fertiliser part will make me enough meat too.
