As just a manhwa reader, when does ‘God Grid’ become a thing? And how far is the manhwa compared to the novel?

Without any real spoilers please. I’m just curious why people refer to him as god grid. I assume he just becomes so op eventually and it’s a nickname the community gave him eventually.
