GTA San Andreas Expanded Soundtrack
I decided too add a few extra custom radio stations to an already classic game soundtrack. As good the music already is I felt the game was always missing a few key genres just to give the game a more complete feel and reflects the time period to help sell the atmosphere.
Fame 102
I never understood why San Andreas didn't have a Top 40 pop station or something equivalent to Vice City's Flash FM considering all the classic hits from the era. So I created Fame 102 to bring the polished, chart-topping energy of the late ’80s and early ’90s into San Andreas. While the game already captures a lot of the era’s sound, I wanted to spotlight the mainstream Top 40 feel — when pop blended with dance grooves, alternative edge, funk-rock attitude, and smooth R&B hooks.

The Pulse 92.1
Perhaps an even more strangely absent genre that I felt needed to be represented was the explosion of early the ’90s dance/house culture. While SFUR captures the underground, ’80s house scene with its deeper, more alternative club sound, I wanted to represent the other side of early ’90s dance culture at a time when hip house, high-energy dance beats, and the big, club-driven pop hits were dominating radio, nightclubs, and street parties.

I also made and posted a heavy metal and hard rock station here a few months back called Sunset FM, named after the infamous Hollywood sunset strip, that primarily plays bands from the sunset strip hair metal scene, bay area thrash bands or California alt metal/funk bands. I figured, especially considering that Los Santos/Vinewood is based on L.A./Hollywood, that the game lacked a fitting mainstream rock music station from the era.
