like most urban legends, there is an element of truth to this rumor. production on master of disguise did begin in september of 2001 and the turtle club scene was the first scene to be filmed. however, production didn't begin until september the 24th. however, everyone felt a bit weird about filming a wacky comedy so soon after a national tragedy so they did indeed have a moment of silence before production officially began.
