BUT, it's possible for both the ADL and Mel Gibson to be wrong:

1. The ADL is a dogshit organization. They've gone totally woke and are completely blind to anti-semitism from the Left.
2. "The Jews killed Jesus", and "The Jews are responsible for Jesus' death" are retarded, illogical, and dangerous ideas.

I love Zack, but I cringed watching him echo #2.

I happen to be taking this course right now at my local temple. I thought that I was educated about how the Jews have been treated, but this reminded / taught me how much Jews have suffered. Here are some pics of the textbook. These are just a few slivers of time, cataloging massacres of Jews.

What evidence do we have of these? Extensive written documentation over 1,000 years from dozens of countries, both Jewish and from the local governments.

I think it all starts with #2. That's why I call it "dangerous".

And that's the context that Jewish people have when hearing #2. The Holocaust wasn't a one-off. It was the culmination of 1,000+ years of this.

I think that only witch burnings is maybe similar. Here's why "The Jews killed Jesus" is retarded.

Accepting the bible as true:

* Way beforehand, Jesus told everyone he'd have to die.
* The entire modern Christian belief is built around, "He died for our sins."
* Jesus was Jewish. They were all Jewish in the Jesus story.
* Some leaders in Jesus's community were corrupt handed him to the Romans. They were Jewish - because they all were. It was a Jewish community with corruption.
* Jesus went willingly because this was a necessary part of ensuring salvation for his supporters.

I'm sure there are more reasons the whole "Jews killed Jesus" thing is retarded that I'm not thinking of right now.

I'm Jewish and I liked Passion of the Christ
