Why have there been so many power outages this week?
Please tell me if it's just me, but it seems like there have been a bunch of scattered power outages this week. For example:
- the big one in Ohio City/Tremont yesterday
- little ones here in Lyndhurst yesterday when a couple utility poles spectacularly blew up yesterday
- my colleague in Cleveland Heights lost power last night
- another colleague in Westlake lost power on Tuesday
- yet another colleague around Old Brooklyn lost power today
- a family member in Shaker lost power today
Is this normal and just happens to be all people I know? Is it an effect of the thaw after the really cold temperatures? Solar flares? Obviously it's all because we have aging infrastructure etc. But what's going on?
