Help! Tested positive for HPV (not 16/18) with low grade changes within one year!

Hi I'm freaking out.

My last cervical screening was in October 2024. Since then i had been having mid-cycle spotting (and I'm also going through a painful endometriosis diagnosis). It was normal.

October 2024

Pap smear:

CERVICAL SCREENING -SPECIMEN

TEST RESULTS

Not stated - PreservCytSolution

PCR for oncogenic HPV and genotype:

HPV 16 - Not Detected

HPV 18 - Not Detected

HPV (not 16/18) - Not Detected

Liquid based cytology (LBC), Image Assisted:

NEGATIVE

There is no evidence of a squamous intraepithelial lesion or malignancy.

I got a transvaginal ultrasound in an April 2025 because of the mid cycle/literal phase spotting which came back normal.

Since then I've had sex only a couple times in the last year. And the last time I had sex I was bleeding so I went in immediately to the GP and got a full STI screening done and a trans vaginal ultrasound done.

Now, found HPV (not 16/18) found with low grade squamous epithelial lesion*.*

Cervical screening Feb 2025

SPECIMEN

TEST RESULTS

Cervical - PreservCyt Solution

PCR for oncogenic HPV and genotype:

HPV16 - Not Detected

HPV18 - Not Detected

HPV (not 16/18) - Detected

Liquid based cytology (LBC), Image Assisted:

Low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion.

Endocervical component: Not identified.

Transvaginal ultrasound came back with tender hypochoic marking near the uterosacral ligament.

So they've put me on oral contraceptive for 3 consecutive months to manage the mid cycle bleeding/bleeding after sex. And I think it's managed Ibut ive only just started and less than a month in with the OCP.

I'm so scared that within the span of 15 months this has happened? What's the way forward? What do I do? I have severe health anxiety!!!
