I can’t bring myself to share my poetry with people I know…

A poem about finding Jesus
At the dawn of childhood’s hour
My soul was set upon a path
Subtle footsteps of the heart
Even infants can detect
It is the thing journeys are meant to resemble
Its destination oft called truth and beauty
In the draw to a nature, and a place
I found a man, a tree
He offered me a dance
And I laughed at first
This can’t be the place or the man
For I haven’t died, and not by his hand
He laughed back
You’re not there yet
And thus the dance
Don’t try to work it out, just take my hand
So I started dancing
And they started laughing
I’m sure for good reason
I don’t know how to dance
