Was I overreacting by calling him out
When I was in secondary school, I had a friend who was always really persistent. He would keep asking my friend repeatedly if he could touch her boobs, even if she said no each time. We had a class trip one time, and were joking around and he asked the same to me. Since I thought it’d be funny at first I did say okay and let him do it once. But he just kept doing it afterwards, groping me multiple times throughout the day, even when we were in a crowded train station. I didn’t say no openly and just laughed it off, though I was really uncomfortable.
He was always a bit weird, he hit me and slapped my face out of random, send messed up porn to group chats. After this whole thing I didn’t want to be friends with him anymore. So I called him out for it and he then got kicked out of our friend group. After this he sent me threatening messages and had his friends keep an eye on me so he could pretend he was stalking me. He did get suspended though afterwards by the school.
I’m thinking back on it years from now and I feel guilty on if I was blowing things out of proportion. I don’t know if I was overreacting to this, because I did agree at first. I know he was a bad person otherwise, but I don’t know if it was unfair of me to call him a sexual abuser.
