Deinfluence me on Secondhand Kindle

I wanna read more especially with manga and light fiction but I always end up going to other apps when I read EPUBs on my phone/tablet... I haven't heard anything bad about the kindle and am considering getting it secondhand but I really need to know my Cons first. Pls help.
