EA positions

I was invited to interview for an EA position. I have 20 years and can retire in 7 years. I would like to get out of the classroom but am not pressed to get out. I saw the salary schedule for EA level 1 and want to know is that the only salary schedule for EAs? They seem to not get that many raises and may not be as union protected as teachers. I’m wondering if it’s worth the possible leap.
