Has anyone switched to remote work?

I was recently contacted by a recruiter for a remote position of my job. My current job doesn't offer remote. This remote job seems to be overall better than my current job. I figure if I were to switch to this remote job I would be able to work more consistently. What has been y'all's experience with switching to remote? Was it positive? What do you wish you'd know before switching?
