Job hunting in tech is soul sucking

I just completed my degree. I've spent the last year working a joke of a remote web dev gig getting paid next to nothing just to get some experience.

I really hoped having atleast a year of experience and a degree behind my name would help me get some more interviews than went I was applying last year for internships but it's still horrible.

To add insult to injury. I was contacted by a recruiter who told my I was the perfect candidate until I told her I live in a town two hours away from the city I would be working in. I could have figured something out considering I only needed to be there twice a week... I can't afford rent in the city hut all the jobs are there.

I really hope I find something soon or else I'll have wasted the last 5 years of my life just to work a shitty minimum wage job until I retire just like everyone else in this town 😭
