Matsson - Logan negotiation scene

Just rewatching the show now and now i have the impression that Logan got fucked for the first time in his life probably. From initial watch it was kind of equal and mutually respectful, but now it felt like a young lion putting an old one to sleep so he wouldn't suffer.

Through out the show we've seen how merciless and agressive Logan was in negotiations and dialogues but here he was the one being dominated. I think him saying mid convo "come on, talk to me" is an obvious sentence of someone getting owned in a negotiation, then things like "It's all right son" when he was offered to step down for Lukas, as if son just witnessed his dad being shaky after a hit in a head, and then Lukas telling Logan with eyes to make his little weasel (Roman) to fuck off so he would negotiate his exit.

I mean through out the start of the scene Logan was pretty much straight forward and himself, but in the end of negotiation he knew he is done for, he became "nicer", "quiter" basically got toned down.

And then through out their deal Matsson just also waited him out to die, obviously wasn't a conscious decision, but it was Matsson who said about Logan "when he will die". So basically he symbolically "put him down" for real.

I don't think it was abrupt, his decision to sell out, i think for the first time in his life he felt bodied, by a new up and coming guy from tech, and immediatelly decided to leave, as if he understood that he just can't compete anymore.

Sorry if it felt like alpha/beta, but it's Succession, it's about a piss contest.

Written by a Matssonbro since season 3. Matsson bros won.
