Fast/forceful letdown mamas: when does it get better???

When were you finally able to breastfeed in public without baby choking and making a mess? Like any position without issue?

I’m 3 months in and not comfortable to breastfeed in public as baby doesn’t want to do cradle hold. Only side lying is currently working for us and every now and then she throws a fit to nurse because she doesn’t want to deal with my forceful letdown.

Wondering when she’ll finally be able to handle it and nurse in any position without a fuss.
