I recall knowing about her for years now, seeing the odd thing that made me laugh at how filter-less she is, but never actually got into her music. I checked my [last.fm](http://last.fm) profile that has a chronicle of a facet of my listening habits since 2008, and I saw that somewhere, at some point randomly, I listened to Running with the Wolves and Under Stars in 2015.

Cut to three weeks ago, I was having one of the worst big sads I've had in a very, very long time. I was looking for something to keep my mind distracted, and I came across Aurora's tiny desk concert. Within the first 2 seconds I heard Runaway, I connected with her hands, her obvious profoundly deep connection to her art and watching her release that into the ether was mind-blowing. Story as old as time, but I find it endlessly fascinating when someone speaks about the first time they heard Aurora. The shared connection to her music and messages no matter what age and place and time is such a rare event in our lifetime.

I'm side-questing hard here. I went down a WORMHOLE. The ensuing days of discovery were...intense. Lots of crying confused tears of joy, elation, sadness, letting go. I ran the gauntlet and came out of the other side of it a lifetime fan. It was the music that felt like instinct...something I still to this day struggle to make myself when I create. I used to make music for a living and burned out and haven't looked back in nearly ten years, but this person, and everyone who orbits around them to assist her in distributing love, hope, acceptance and all the other words that escape me, was enough to give resolve to pick it back up. I sat and listened intently, as a fan as someone who time has worn down to a dull nub emotionally, and I was raised back up like I was discovering something so pure, new and exactly what my brain sounds like.

I'm not sure why I kept typing. I assume brevity isn't my strong suit :p

What I wanted to share was, I was on a mission. I found all of them. For now, the Aurora Pokémon is finished.

Maybe this was a means of saying hello to this community, but also to share how excited I am to turn my lights down VERY low and engage in the ritual of listening to all of these sequentially this weekend. I know it's a little silly to share material things like this, but if there is a place where it's appreciated, I think it's here.

Hi!

OVER THE MOON (hello!)
