I need to vent out my frustrations with this place and other subreddits have been critiqued on here too so I thought this might be a safe space to get my feelings out on this. Don’t get me wrong, I used to really like this place. This is my hyperfixation and special interest. I didn’t mind the “What is this aesthetic?” because the visuals were interesting and there was at least something cohesive about the images and looking for a name to probably find more images that they like, which is in my opinion a good thing.

Then it became “What is \*my\* aesthetic?” and it’s random selfies and images that are cobbled together. It honestly feels like “What flavor of white woman am I?” (it’s not exclusively a white woman thing but majority of the time it’s them).

Also the amount of bullying and joke answers. I like to occasionally make a joke answer but most of the time I give a serious response because my jokes amd commentary were not asked of me. I keep it to a minimum but it feels like most of the responses want to make joke with “(blank)-core” like “Bisexual-with-a-girlfriend core” ✌🏾 or something way more offensive and mean like “Human trafficking core” over an artistically nude woman. (Also I don’t mind artistic nudity because at least it has an intention and not a random OF bot)

It’s like we are treated as a joke and a dumping ground for people to post their selfies or to be bullied for liking any aesthetic.

I hate what the aesthetics wiki subreddit has turned into
