Hi jewelers,  my engagement had two small diamonds fall out of it two years after I got it. I live very far from the original jeweler so I took it to A A small repair jeweler to fix it. I was hoping to just get the holes filled and not replace the diamonds. They told me I needed to replace the diamonds and the holes couldn’t be filled. So I did. The jeweler told me as long as I was not rough on the ring I should be good to go the diamonds shouldn’t fall out again. So now two months later one of the diamonds fell out. I called the jeweler to see if there was anything we could do. I was very nice as I’m not mad at the jeweler for it happening I just want to figure out what we can do to fix it and if they would cover possibly filling in the hole. When I told the woman on the phone what happened she was immediately defensive and said it must have been something I did to cause a problem with it. She said “even if we repair it it won’t probably won’t last 100 years”. It’s been two months. I assured her I only wear it in low stress situations I do not wear it everyday. I have an intense job so it really only gets worn maybe 3 times a week mostly on weekends or when I am in the office. She said she wasn’t sure if there was anything they could do I would have to come in and discuss it further. Then proceeded to tell me to trace my steps to find the diamond, but I’ve already tried that. Is this a normal response? Is there anything I can do. From the attitude on the phone I don’t see any success coming out of this and just dropped money to repair my ring that lost a diamond again. Any input would be appreciated so I can try and figure out what to do. I was so happy to get my ring back fixed and now I’m super sad it’s broken again. 

Diamond fell out of ring 2 months after fixing
