First Timer

Hello Everyone!

I just paid of my student loans at 30 years old and finally have some extra money to put towards paying myself and funding my future. I see so much about investing being important but I feel very overwhelmed and lost.

I have no idea where to start. I am a teacher in Texas and have been earning towards a pension there but it's my only retirement. I'm finally in a place and serious enough about funding my wealth currently and future.

Can someone help guide me at all? There is such an overwhelming amount of information out there.
